AT to USB converter

So let's start at the beginning, I got a Mitsumi KKR.
This keyboard talks the AT protocol through a 180ยบ DIN 5 connector

I have a passive converter from DIN 5 to Mini DIN 6 and an active converter from AT to USB but it is in another keyboard.
So now I have a great excuse to make another one!

For the entire process I just followed my own guide on how to make a XT to USB converter so in here I will only highlight some details.

Hardware

The only difference from the XT converter was the DIN port.

To connect the wires to the connectors I followed the diagram at kbdbabel:

In this version I have the J1 jumper soldered and 5V connected to VCC.

Note: For a time I had the J1 jumper not connected and the Mitsumi keyboard worked fine. I soldered it to see if with that my IBM model F started working.
It didn't...

Firmware

I just followed my own tutorial

Next steps

There are 2 things that I need to do:
- Make a pretty PCB and send it to JLCPCB to get it done.
- Make a 3d printed case.

Until then, I'm just enjoying the keyboard.
